MSHA Position

American Stagging is seeking dependable, safety-minded individuals. We have opportunities available in drilling, core shed operations, maintenance, and laboratory support.
Drilling
Assist with day-to-day drilling operations and field activities
Handle equipment, tools, materials, and supplies
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Follow all safety procedures and site requirements
Assist drillers and crew members as needed
Core Shed
Receive, handle, organize, and process drill core
Label, photograph, measure, and maintain core samples
Maintain accurate records and sample identification
Assist with splitting, sampling, and preparing core for shipment or analysis
Keep core shed and work areas clean and organized
Maintenance
Assist with preventative maintenance and inspections
Troubleshoot mechanical issues as needed
must be able to walk 2 miles daily.
will be going up ladders, stairs and confined spaces
Follow all safety procedures and maintenance standards
must have basic computer knowledge
data collection with portable device
Laboratory
Assist with preparation, handling, and processing of samples
Maintain accurate sample identification and records
Follow laboratory procedures and quality-control requirements
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory work area
Assist laboratory staff with routine tasks and equipment as needed
Qualifications
Current MSHA certification required
Previous mining, drilling, exploration, maintenance, core handling, or laboratory experience preferred but not required
Strong commitment to safety
Reliable attendance and dependable work ethic
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Ability to work in a physically demanding industrial environment
Must be willing to follow company, MSHA, and site-specific safety requirements
Valid driver’s license may be required depending on position
